An expert panel of university professionals and professionals in food technology prepare specific courses in order to support theoretical and practical training, which can be adapted to the specific needs and objectives of the enterprise.
Some of the courses offered are:
- Theoretical and practical course on the science and technology of ice cream for the company Eurofragrance.
- Theoretical and practical course on the science and technology of ice cream for the company Danone.
- Course of physicochemical analysis of foods and waters for R+D technicians of DAMM.
A Workshop on quick methods and automation in food microbiology is organized annually.
The objectives of the workshop are to increase and to spread the theoretical and practical knowledge about innovative methods in order to detect, count, isolate and characterize quickly the microorganisms and their metabolites in foods and water. The workshop is aimed at directors and technicians of laboratories, consultancy agencies, and food industries, as well as other sectors (clinical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical, environmental, etc.) veterinary inspectors and other personnel from administration, professionals of microbiological companies, graduate and postgraduate students, university professors and technical personnel, personnel from other research centers, etc.
In the same way, some of the researchers attached to CERPTA are teachers in Veterinary and Food Technology,as well as offering (Masters courses in Animal Science and Food Research and Masters courses in Food Safety).
Industrial PhD Plan is a strategy of the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia, in collaboration with public and private universities, which aims to contribute to the competitiveness and internationalization of Catalan industry, retain talent and place Ph students able to develop R & D in a company.
